New Joint - Great Harvest Bread Company
We got a coupon for this new joint today, and it was right around the corner so Chris, Cindy and I decided to give it a shot. This place is hidden behind VooDoo Daddy's and the 7-Eleven on McClintock and Warner. First impression is that the dining room is small, so it may be hard to get a table in the summer time when no one wants to be outside, and there were more dreadlocks behind the counter than you'll find at a Bob Marley concert.
On to the food... they have some good choices, and the panini sandwiches are excellent. I had the BBQ chicken panini, and when I was finished I wish I had another. So all in all the food is good except... Cindy decided to order a glass of tea, and what she got looked like a glass of iced mud. "Would you like some water with your ground up tea leaves"? Like a bowl of dinty Moore stew, you could probably get a fork to stand up in it. But, they replaced her tea with green tea that she really liked. So good food, decent atmosphere, and the prices are a little high, but manageable, and it appears that they'll take care of you when you aren't satisfied. Thumb's up.
